Cardiff Speakers Club sent representatives along to the South Wales Area competitions. Congratulations to Rob who won the Area speech competition. Also going forward to the South Western and Wales District contest are Tony and Noel. Good luck to them all!

The club held its annual evaluation competition mid January. Lloyd volunteered to be the “brave” speaker whose speech was evaluated by all the competitors. The winner was Adrian who was awarded the new trophy for this contest – the Mike Thomas shield – in memory of club member Mike Thomas who passed away in January 2011.

Club members enjoyed the Club’s Annual Speech Contest on Thursday 10th November. Contestants prepared their best speech and to hopefully win and go forward to the South Wales Area competition to compete against the winners from Brecon, Cardiff Mixed and Newport clubs. Congratulations to Rob who won the competition this year!
